WISDOM
We fear growing old — less pretty, less active, more wrinkles, more grey. It's easy to see what age takes away. What's harder to see is what it leaves behind in return: wisdom, knowledge, stories that only time, and only living, can write. When I meet someone, I try not to stop at their face. I look past it, toward what their years have carried them through — the losses, the lessons, the quiet understanding that only comes with having lived long enough to earn it. That's what I find myself drawn to. Not youth, but what remains after it. I want to see it, to sit with it, to capture it — and to share it with the world, so that growing old might feel less like losing, and more like becoming.
